Wired's Listening Post blog reported a couple weeks ago that Devo front man Mark Mothersbaugh, who's also a busy visual artist, would be taking decades' worth of his handmade postcards on a gallery tour. Since his early years on the road with Devo, Mothersbaugh has made these playful, pointed, twisted cards as a sort of diary--he still turns out between one and two dozen every single day. Each card on this tour has been reproduced in a limited edition, which is a welcome development--I imagine buying a print is easier than getting one of the originals straight from Mothersbaugh.

The cards are showing at David Leonardis Gallery, 217 W. Huron, from June 6 through July 2. The opening reception is Friday, June 6, from 6 to 11 PM, and Mothersbaugh will host video conferences from 7 to 8 PM.
