I didn't have a chance last week to bump Martha Bayne's story in Thursday's Reader about Wisconsin's Death's Door Spirits, so here it is. Bayne's been on the Washington Island beat since 2004, and this tale is about how islanders took a bumper crop of wheat and used it to launch a line of gins and vodkas.
