Tonight's Bird & Whale Showcase at Sonotheque includes DJ sets by Josh Abrams, Wayne Montana, and Clerical Error (aka Jocelyn Brown) and a live performance by Epstein y El Conjunto. El Conjunto, featuring JayTram (aka Jason Trammell, drummer of New York's The Love Story), debuted last year with Canto de Hermanos (preview below), which was inspired by Epstein's childhood memories of Ecuador. Nu-disco DJ SR-71 (pictured) headlines and curates tonight's installment of the Minor Figure$ series at Sonotheque (1444 W. Chicago) featuring locally grown DJs.
