People around the country are still talking about Reverend Jeremiah Wright's appearance at the National Press Club Monday. But as our very own Ben Joravsky argues in this piece in the Washington Independent, some Chicagoans are still trying to figure out how someone with so much to say about the federal government's many acts of injustice could all but ignore the politics of his own city.

To be fair at one time Rev Wrght was critical of the Daley regime. Daley would have his police write excessive tickets around Trinity Church. Rev Wright stopped his criticism,after Barack became Senator.Barark got Wright to stop bad mouthing the Mayor. Almost all Chicago's Black preachers have their hands into the City hall cash wheel. Rev Wright is no different. Martin luther King died broke,he gave the money from his peace award to the needy.Rev Wright is a little better he held out for more grant money,before he made peace with Daley. Barack prostituted himself to get the support of Daley and his thugs,along with Dick Durbin. Daley's dream is, if Barack becomes President he will fire Fitzgerald. Maybe Dick Devine will replace Pat Fitzgerald,or Mara George.
